About us

Pastor Charles was born to John and Vasantha in Karakonam, Tamilnadu on November 16, 1987. His family moved from Marthandam to Chennai in the spring of 1988 and settled in Saidapet, Chennai.

Though he grew up in a Christian environment, Charles lived a life unpleasing to God. As a Christian, he always thought being faithful to God, attending Church services, reading scripture, fasting and doing daily prayers can bring one close to God but he was totally wrong. This led him to the quest for peace which he found in Jesus Christ in the year 2003.

He worked in a Multi-national company as a support engineer however, Gods’ call was so strong and powerful so he decided to resign his job and joined in Hindustan Bible Institute & College in Chennai for his theological studies (M.Div). Gradually, theological studies helped me to understand and experience God in a deeper way.

The relationship with Bible and church gradually increased. He got opportunity to learn ancient languages (Greek and Hebrew). Finally, he fell in love with Hebrew Language. This led him to pursue his M.Th in Old Testament at SAIACS in Bangalore.

Since God has given him the privilege of being mentored by big leaders and scholars. So it was his passion to give the best to his students, church and readers who are interested in knowing His word to reach the world.

Pastor Charles holds M.A. English literature from Madras University, M.Div from Hindustan Bible Institute, Chennai and Th.M from South Asia Institute of Advance Christian Studies. He is currently serving at Hindustan Bible Institute and College, Chennai as the Dean of Academics. Old Testament & Christian education are the two areas of his specialization. He is married to Vandana and they have a daughter by the name Adira.
